Cell Phone Load

I bought a sae to usb converter so I could keep my droid phone charged in my tank bag. Using the powerlet accessory plug on left side of dash. Took it for a ride on Sunday. Towards end of ride after fuel stop noticed my turn signals not working. Turns out I blew the fuse which also powers the windshield motor and accessory plug. Am wondering if others have had similar issues powering smart phone from the accessory plug?

I would bet the ranch that a cell phone does not have enough of a load to do that. I'd look for other problems. Maybe you have something else electrical installed by owner (not MFR) that you aren't recalling that may be wired in somewhere along that circuit?
