Plaintif, Corbin Seats, BMW & The Courts

In Alberta, "costs generally follow the cause", as the litigators say. The loser usually doesn't pay the winner's lawyer's bill, but he will pay costs as set out in the Alberta court rules, which is a lesser amount, but can add up to a pretty steep number. If the court thinks circumstances justify it, such as where there has been egregious conduct, they can award costs on a higher scale, or even full solicitor client costs.

The general rule is that costs are entirely at the discretion of the trial judge, and should not be interfered with by an appeal court.

Simply unbelievable!

There is always some leach looking to "stiff" someone for big money. LOL

As to his lawsuit...only in the USA.
