New guy, old bike

I'm just wrapping up physical therapy after being rear-ended by a drunk while sitting at a stoplight. The bike and I have been worked on and I'm glad to say both of us are coming together well.

I'm the original owner of the red '86 R80RT. It was a replacement for my previous bike, a '73 R75/5. I just can't seem to get away from that basic design.

I'm having much fun with the new paint and a few other goodies. I'm looking forward to getting back on the road in a week or so. With any luck, I'll make it to the Death Valley Rendezvous.

I'll post a few more pics of this work in progress after I look around a bit.

Glad to hear that you survived the accident. Hope that you have a less eventful riding season in 2013.
