It is not too late for Savannah 18

The special IBMWR room rates have expired but that's no reason not to
attend.

Mark your calendar for November 30th - December 2nd for the 18th annual
Ride To Savannah and the Low Country Boil on Tybee Island, GA.

We have a FACEBOOK page http://www.facebook.com/groups/132973123425202/

Friday afternoon / evening gathering spot is Marlin Monroes for food and
drink. http://www.marlinmonroessurfsidegrill.com/ 404 Butler Avenue,
Tybee Island, GA 31328

Please stop by and welcome the old and the new.

The Boil will be Saturday, December 1st at around 6 pm. Like everything
else, costs are up so the price for the Low Country Boil will be $25.00
per person.

This year Doug Stoller was able to get us back indoors at the Tybee Gym
at Fifth St. and Butler Ave., Tybee Island, GA, 31328. We'll start
gathering around 5 and hope to eat somewhere around 6... maybe
6:30. With Chef Stoller, you can't rush excellence. For anyone that
hasn't eaten a Low Country Boil, you are in for a treat. Shrimp so fresh
it was swimming in the ocean that morning. Sausage / Corn / Potato(e)s /
Justin Wilson's favorite...Oooonioooon (hard to type in Cajun). All
cooked in large pots and then dumped in front of a very hungry crowd. By
about 9pm we shut down and head to some of the upscale beach bars.

This year we have Breezy Riders running golf cart taxis so there's no
need to drink and drive or to miss the singing sensation Saturday night
of Elvis Holland at the south end bars. $3 per person, full cart for $10

Tybee is fortunate to have THE FAMOUS BREAKFAST CLUB http://

1500 Butler Avenue

You owe it to yourself to eat there at least once.

Please make your reservations early. We don't have the quantity of rooms
available like at the Dunes, but we do have closer motels and I know the
Desoto Beach is a lot nicer.

Let me know of any questions, problems or whatever.

This weekend is the annual Savannah BMW rally. I'll be leaving for the rally in the morning. I hope to see lots of old friends, and make some new ones. :clap

Barbie is still sleeping here in Charleston. We will see you this evening in Tybee Island.

We ate at a Mexican restaurant here last night that featured all fresh ingredients; definitely way above anything I have ever had in the US that was labeled "Mexican".

I'll be leaving in a couple of hours to meet with Charles. Then on to Savannah... :bolt

The weather, fellowship, and low country boil was great. Dec 2013 we will meet again. Had a wonderful time at The Mighty Eighth Museum, 22 WWII Vets were there. They truely represent our greatest generation and it was a privilage to talk to them. Keith and I were treated to a tour of the B-17 ( City of Savannah) that is being restored on site. Looking at the interior of this plane one gets a rare insight on the conditions bomber crews faced over Europe. Skilled engineers and airframe metal workers from Gulfstream and other local companies donate thier time to repair, fabricate, and rebuild this iconic aircraft. Make time to visit the museum, you will not be dissappointed. RIDE SAFE

Another good one done- see you all again next year.
The museum was a hit with the SO, a bit of a surprise to me. She seems to have a knack for the gunner's simulator- better not get her a shotgun.
Boil and company good as always..
Thanks to our organizers...
