    92 K75S lower seating position

Without changing the seat, what is a good way of lowering a K75. I need to lower it about an inch and thought about a shorter rear shock assembly. I know a guy who had a smaller rim laced in the rear wheel for his wife's bike but i definitely don't want to go that route. Any help would be appreciated.

Progressive Suspensions makes a shorter shock. 412-4016B. It is 3/4" shorter.

For the front, I would put barracks from ascycles.com (Sacramento BMW dealer) part #BB1. These are specifically made for ea rly K-bikes. They have the optimum rise and setback for the S. They also, unlike any other barracks, have the correct mounting bosses for the stock dash pad.

Once you put the barracks on, you can slide the forks up in the triple clamps to lower the front to match the rear.

I would suggest lowering BOTH ends of the bike an equal amount. Just lowering the rear will increase the rake of the forks making it unhappy with turning-in.. Ride height should change the same - front and rear.

Only works if the typo is not a valid word.
