/3 Parts Availability

Are /3 parts even available? I have a friend that I could buy a /3 twin frame from. It doesn't have a serial number that he can see, and the front badge is gone that would show the model/year. From photos, the frame seems straight.

BMW themselves sell many /3 parts. A knowledgeable parts man at any dealership can order them. In the past, BMW Group Classic has put out beautiful glossy B&W pamphelets showing a sampling of the parts for post war bikes available.

When my /3 was rear ended, I was able to buy a brand new rear fender, which fit perfectly. It was in primer and cost about $600, probably less than a plastic fender for a modern bike would cost.
