Alaska to California and Back

I finished my first long motorcycle trip on my '83 R100RT airhead starting from Fairbanks, AK to Santa Cruz, CA and back. No mechanical issues at all and the most common comment from other riders (Harley and BMW riders especially) was "You came from Alaska on THAT!?"

I posted on my blog almost daily during the trip and other riders in eastern Oregon to ride Hell's Canyon and some national forest roads around Joseph. This photo is near the eastern end of Kluane Lake in the Yukon territory.

Good to hear you had a good trip Rich; Congratulations!!!!!!! :thumb. But, you know the trip is not complete until you get that thing to Barrow.

Sure, wait for the easy way.

Bob is due in here tomorrow. We plan to lube the spline on my GSPD while he is here.

Actually, we stayed in Aptos! I didn't go to the Boardwalk on this visit. Since it was a family reunion it was nice to just sit around and chat...
