Kicked off the Rally Around the World

I had a fun weekend ride helping to kick off a round-the-world trip. On Saturday, July 28, Brad Thompson started his trip to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. More information at www.RallyAroundtheWorld.com

He departed Nashville, TN with an entourage of about 25 motorcycles and stopped in Clarksville, TN for a dealer event. From there two of us rode with him to St. Louis.

This morning (Sunday), I rode back home to Nashville, TN. Before I left the St. Louis area, I rode a couple miles to our MOA headquarters. (I plan to be back for the open house this fall.)

I stayed ahead of the rain (for the most part) and had an enjoyable ride through southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois, western Kentucky and into middle Tennessee.

Best of luck on your trip..i would just advise that your spare gas tank is exposed if you crash on the left side (assuming you have gas in that spare tank?). try to mount it behind your pannier if you can..i made the same mistake but my buddy pointed it out before any untoward event.
