Schuberth offering deals at rally?

I asked that question of a vendor, this was their reply:
"RevZilla will be attending the BMW MOA this year, but we are not going to be selling any product, including Schuberth Helmets. Unfortunately, Schuberth has strict rules about discounting, and even last year in Bloomsburg, PA, we were selling all gear at full retail."
I got the same answer from my local dealer. After wearing one in their store for 1/2 hour I ordered a hi-viz in my size. Since we're spending some time on the road getting there I want to have it before I head to the rally.

a thousand?
i paid 550 for one, full price (700?) for another.
i have an as-new silver large for sale on ebay right now. extra window and fog lens..
I dropped by our new BMW dealer, Barnett BMW (El Paso), and tried the C3. They gave me a discount, roughly web price, so I bit. Kind of deja vu....Walked in, 3 or 4 gray haired guys clustered around a GSA chatting about reliability and old Beemers. Just like Gulf Coast BMW in Houston. Probably the same guys.
Anyway, taking a ride today. I think I'll carry a spoon, just in case the new helmet leaves a bit of a forehead tattoo.
