2011 R1200RT Remus Exhaust

Thinking about installing Remus exhaust on the 11 R12RT. Would appreciate some insight on pros and cons from riders who made the conversion.

The advertisement claims an increase of 9hp. OK but not such a big deal. I would prefer something that provides a little more low end rumble.
 
On my 2011 I installed the Akrapovic. I love the sound. Nothing like my Ducati with D&D exhaust but nice enough.
 
I have a Remus Revolution on my 05 RT and really like it. The Carbon Fiber is a lot cooler than the metal ones, you can touch it with out getting burned.
 
I have the Remus hexacone on my 2008 Rt and with the restricter in it sounds only slightly louder more of a deep rumble, but it rumbles on throttle decrease. I like it a lot this way, but without the restricter in it was Way too loud.

Question do these mufflers require a new "down pipe" and do you have to remove or "reduce" the Cat?
 
No, They fit fine on the stock down pipe/cat. Although mine has their cat eliminator that saves even more weight.
