I did a local ride today. About 130 miles, pretty much all back roads.*
It was a little chilly when I started out. By the time I made my first rest stop, my neck, chest and hands were feeling the cold, but when I saddled up again, I put on my balaclava and glove liners, and I was fine for the rest of the day. By the time I turned the bike for home, I'm sure the temperature was well into the 60s, and I was feeling just fine, thanks. It was bright and sunny, and all-in-all, just a perfect New England spring day.
*(For them that might be interested, my route was Home -> 109 W -> 27 N -> 2A W -> over Wachusett Mountain -> 62 E. -> Back roads S. -> 135 E. -> Home.)
