National Rally Location

It's only a repeat if you've been there before. Over the years the membership has changed enough times to make old locations new again. Personally I have not made it to all rallies. Not even close.

Enjoy!
I keep forgetting the one constant...
"Never under estimate an MOAer's ability to split hairs".

I hate doing that, makes the bike messy.

With the complexity of our requirements for a rally location versus available locations/venues It seems that in the future we will find ourselves limited to very few choices, requiring re-visiting more and more. The rally site selection folks really have their job cut out for them.

The rally at Bloomsburg was fine. I'd prefer more modern up to date facilities as in Redmond or Gilette for example. Perhaps if Bloomsburg had more air-conditioned (refuge) space, some of the heat related problems might not have been so severe.
More available indoor space is helpful for rainy spells as well.

Dually Noted.
Although as I usually hear from the curmudgeons... "Ya ain't gonna please everyone every time".
So... To dismiss an optimum venue for a lack of hotels is IMHO pretty darn silly. Can't book a room? Can't double up? Can't (your thought here)? Well then... I guess you ain't going to the rally. Or... Rent a RV/trailer locally.
The point is to see the Country, old friends and great riding. If yer only concern is bed... Well... Maybe yer gettin' too old for this.

More of that!!!

More of that!!!

Or more of this?

What's age got to do with it? Some people -- count me among them -- hate camping and will never consider it an option. If I'm interested in an MOA Rally, but there's no hotel room within a reasonable distance of the Rally site, I just don't go -- but I won't whine about it either.

It's not necessarily an age thing. Some of us have other issues. I broke my back (5 crushed vertebra) in 1968 and the doctors said I should not be able to walk. I camped one night at a rally and could hardly walk the next day. I ride and go to rallies in spite of my back problems but camping on the ground is not an option.

OK... That was two age related responses... I was thinking in terms of curmudgeonly than actual age.
When I worked a wilderness resort years a go... A group of women in their 80's+ were carrying packs I wouldn't think of carrying into the garage less on a wilderness trek.

So, I meant attitude not ability... And apologize if taken that way.
