Leaking Boots

I have a 1 1/2-year old pair of Rev-Its!, and the sides of the sole are pulling away from an apparent inner sole, acting as a funne when it rainsl. Rev-its! says they are over a year old, so no help there. Has anyone else had that problem (with that brand or any other)? Any solution? I really expected more out of a pair of boots that are around $200 :banghead

I had a cobbler repair my old BMW GoreTex boots when the sole pulled away from the leather - I didn't even know they still existed and there was one in my own neighborhood. I think it ran me $35.

Find a leather repair guy who does fussy work, and get them repaired. They will probably end up better than new.

The guy that I go to, has also modified tank bags, soft luggage, and hiking gear, for me.

Yup, still a lot of cobblers around, and they usually work cheap. Find a place where the European immigrants settled in the area, I will almost guarantee you will find one.
 
I've stayed away from glued-on soles since they always seem to come unglued one way or the other. I use waterproof Rockys with sewn on soles. You can stand in water almost up to the top of the boot and they will not leak. They breath well in summer, and have a good heel, in addition to non-slip soles. I don't know if they make high-tops for ladies, though...
 
Well I think you have several options. Finding a good local shoe repair shop will be able to do it. Have fixed potential problems before with black ATV, it is waterproof but it may lead the problem to other areas. I know that Aerostich also sell stuff to "toughen" boots up. My problem is by the time I wear the sole out the inside is torn up and the boots are generally done.
 
the same thing has happened to several of my pairs of shoes/boots and I use Gorilla glue and a clamp... So far, it's worked great.
