First outing to Big Bend - 1051 miles in 48 hrs
Some shots from my first trek on my '12 K1600GT out to Big Bend from May 2015. Trekked outbound via US-90 westward from SA, spent the nite in Chisos Mtn campground, then rode route 170 along the rio grande before darting north to spend the nite at Fort Davis. The ride home was I-10 boring, but good to see what its like to zing along at 85 mph for a few hours in the heat of the day. I would not have wanted to keep this kind of pace while riding 2-up, though it would have been enjoyable to have a back rest dressed like my wife

Same here. Spent Sunday at Yellowstone. Not sure I'll try to squeeze in there again in mid July! I think just about anywhere in that region is a great place to camp most likely. Hope you had a great trip!
