Mounting Sena Speakers

I am looking for some advice regarding the speakers for a Sena bluetooth set. I am having trouble mounting them in my Arai RXQ helmet as the "velcro" supplied doesn't seem to want to stick to the liner. I've tried some two-sided tape I had used for mounting picture frames but that doesn't seem to work that well either. I have a little square of some stronger velcro and that doesn't stick either. This wasn't an issue at all with the Scala Q2 I have in my old Arai Quantum/f - once I placed them they have stayed put for three years with no issues. I would hate to be stumped by something seemingly so simple. I'm thinking at this point I might have to somehow sew them in! Any ideas on a solution?

Interesting.

As a matter of fact, I just mounted my SENA Speakers in my Scorpion Helmet this morning with no issues at all? 3M tape on the velcro is sticking just fine. Wonder what is going on with yours?

doesn't the Arai have helmet speaker pockets

inside of the liner? On both mine and my wife's that was the case. I had to take out the cheek pads and there they were. i put the velcro in there, and the speakers have stayed put.

Hmmmm

The Sena speakers worked fine in every helmet I've tried them in, Nolan, Shoei, Caberg - probably worth dropping a line to Sena - they have excellent customer service.

No problems here either. Both my wife mounted ours, Shoei Multitech, and Arai, no problems what so ever. Are you sure you are holding your lip right? :D

Problem solved

INSIDE the liner is the answer. On advice, I removed the cheek pads, peeled back the liner and there is the pocket to mount the speakers, replaced the liner as before, replaced cheek pads, done! Maybe a little tweeking required to get the speakers directly over the ear canal but dead simple really. And now I won't be so hesitant to remove the liners for washing every once in a while.
