R-1100RT comm systems

having bought my second BMW (2000 R1100RT) last summer after a 27 year hiatus from the company, I have only one complaint with this model vice my experience with a variety of other bikes, (primarily a series of
goldwings): I would like to have an integrated comm system, similar to that in the GW, namely radio, intercom and CB; (gps and cell phone would be nice too, of course!); I have seen several offerings in the magazine and at the recent International Morotcycle Show (e.g. Baehr, Clearercom, autocom etc)
Has anyone had any experiences with these brands to help with this decision?
I am particularly interested in whether or not an average mechanical person would be able to install them or if you could recommend a dealer if necessary, as well as the practical usefullness of the functions themselves. thanks;

I use an Autocom system, and it works beautifully(the newer models have a better adjustable volume control). I have intercom, stereo, cell phone, and bike-to-bike(I don't use CB anymore). It' easy to install yourself with minimal mechanical expertise.

Good luck.

Jim

Comm system

If you want CB, look at the J&M solo system. It'll give you everything you're looking for. If CB is not an issue, Autocomm is a very good system.
