    Pennsylvania Road Food

My favorites, in no particular order

    Boiling Springs Tavern
    1 East 1st Street
    Boiling Springs, PA 17007-9601
    717-258-3614
    http://www.boilingspringstavern.net/
1832 Federal style tavern in a charming little town. Has both an upscale dining room and food at the bar. From there, pop over to Rt 233 through the Michaux Forest. You can thank me later.

    Wellsboro Diner
    19 Main Street
    Wellsboro, Pennsylvania 16901
    570-724-3992
    http://www.wellsborodiner.com
Old school diner. Waitresses assured me there are no calories in the chili dogs and fries. A quick ride to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania at Leonard Harrison State Park.

    Jean Bonnet Tavern
    6048 Lincoln Highway
    Bedford, PA 15522
    814.623.2250 -
    http://www.jeanbonnettavern.com/
Historic, 18th century tavern off of the excellent Rt 30, just west of Bedford. Not far from the Flight 93 Memorial. And try Rt 26 south of Everett.

    Gettysburg, PA 17325
    717.334-2200
    http://www.abcbrew.com/gettysburg/brewpub.htm
Just west of Gettysburg, right next to Robert E. Lee's headquarters. Appalachian also has other brew pubs in Harrisburg and Camp Hill. And their beers are superb.

    Dobbin House
89 Steinwehr Avenue (Business Route 15 South)
    Gettysburg, PA 17325
    (717)334-2100
    http://www.dobbinhouse.com/
1776 tavern in the heart of Gettysburg.

    Hofbrauhaus

    Abbottstown, PA 17301

    16 North Pitt Street
    Carlisle, PA 17013
    717-960-0223

A Belgian cafe in small town Pennsylvania! Can't go wrong with mussels from Brussels (along with hand cut fries and mayo or the cafe's own catsup).

    Elk Creek Caf?® + Aleworks
    100 West Main Street
    Millheim, PA 16854
    (814) 349-8850

    Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853
    570.539.0043

I'm curious, why didn't you include Stoudt's over in Adamstown (Reading) on your list of restaurants/brew pubs? Admittedly, they have swung to the more popular and lower production cost ales, but in a previous day, they were one of the few producers of a decent lager in US.

    Just asking

Just an oversight. I haven't been there since I started riding in 2008.

    New Addition

If you're heading to the national on I-80 from the west, the Red Horse Tavern http://www.redhorse-tavern.com/ is a good stop near I-80 exit 161. From exit 161, follow PA 26 to the intersection of PA144.

    Good food and great service.

It's an old business, but under new management. The new owners are nice folks and the food is good. In addition, the prices are reasonable.

!/2 Hr N of the rally, The "Old Filling Station" in Benton, excellent food, especially soups. Their Seafood Bisque is a must have!! Reasonable $$ too.

For Dinner Orlando's in Muncy, REAL Italian food, I have had some very memorable meals there.

I built a map of PA BBQ joints for another thread and thought I might as well cross reference it here.
