2011 ride 4 corners from NE from Bloomsburg or ????

Hey, Looking for a select small, ! or 2, 3 or 4, people for a roughing out of a 4 corner tour, wandering. Look this is just roughing out of Ideas to make a trip happen,. Duration of the trip to be from 20 days to 60 days.

Thinking the tour will include, some camping (OK if No, again dependent on others)) some US Parks, Rallies along the way, some unusual sights and side trips, eating and drinking, gaming at some casinos, and a whole bunch of different things to make the bucket list shorter.

What we really need are some retired or free people (Men and or Women) to have agreat time, explore the USA and make new friends along the way.

In order to get the right group of people, we all need to connect and start the ball rollong on this.

I have been in 8 countries on a MCycle, my 06 RT has over 9oK and I am over 65.
So I am looking to make a good trip happen with good people.

There are no rules and no hidden agendas.

More info go to www.northeastclassicwheels.com or email me and than we can start calling. I am Based in Scranton, PA:wave

mrtnfischer,
I would be up for it , but I don't know if I could put up with you for that long of a time.

Put up with ME??? you can always

Leave at any time, since you are a thin skinned Italiano, it's Krauts like me that you need to value, add purpose to your shallow and meaningless life. Learn some discipline, become a real man, ride the road less traveled. Well????:brow

OK, maybe instead of the 4-corners, ?Great river

The great river road, takes 10 12 days, from Minnisota to New Orleans. Ahh, the river is the Mississippi, and it winds its way south.

Perfect after the RA Rally in Chippawa Falls, Minn, than to Lake Itasca than down the "Great River Road"

check out the web juys type in Maps, Great river road.:brow

when and where leaving for rambling ride

Originally my thought plan was to leave from the BMW MO a rally in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania. And then travel up toward the are a rally in Wisconsin. I will be writing a 06 R 1200 RT

That would bring the start of the ride in July and I expected to take about one month to travel about. Originally the idea was to travel down the Mississippi, using Lake Itasca in Wisconsin as a starting point. Lake Itasca is the beginning of the Mississippi River. "The great River Road" runs on off all the way down to New Orleans. The total length of the trip is 2500 miles. I am assuming that the trip will take over a month. I can also do some camping as well, hence, suggesting rallies along the way. I don't know what's up right now on rallies but I'm sure there are plenty to choose from.

The return trip from New Orleans can be accomplished by going up the other side of the river or can possibly head up the mountain range of the Alleghenies through Tennessee Carolinas etc.

Since the are a rally is in Wisconsin this year, at Chippewa Falls, it would be a good time then to start for Lake Itasca which is 250 miles away.

Since I am also retired, I can take the time to either camp, attend rallies along the way or stay in small motels. Of course none of this can take place until all requirements are satisfied as to costs, times, personality, riding skills etc.

I have also been approached by another group which will be running toward the Midwest and will be staying in motels and seeing sites of interest.

My local group of BMW writers, very few are retired, and therefore do not have the time to move about and explore. That is the purpose of the placing the request in the forum. If you are still interested in pursuing this, please communicate back with me.
Thanks for showing interest, Martin:nono

count me in, all i will need is a note from you to my boss and to my wife explaining i will be gone for a couple of months. i am sure they will be more then understanding. honestly, i have three more years until i retire and then i will be able to do things like this. enjoy your trip and please post lots of pics. see ya in Bloomsburg.......

Still Planning West TRIP More Planning

Planning a summer motorcycle trip. Mid-June early July early August

I think there are some great opportunities this year to travel west. Here is my thoughts for a great itinerary lasting from 2 to 3 weeks.

1. Travel to the RA rally in Chippewa Falls spend a day or two
2. Travel from Chippewa Falls to Lake Itasca in Minnesota's near the Canadian border, that is the source of the Mississippi. It would be great to travel west and pick up the Mississippi and then north.
3. Travel from Lake Itasca, West and slightly south to pick up the Missouri River. Then travel the River North through South Dakota North Dakota Wyoming to the source of the Missouri.

Some of the traveling will involve deep woods in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and then heading toward the mountains by way of the Missouri River. If anyone has traveled this route before you will note that there are a lot of undulating countryside and plains. By keeping close the Missouri "the longest river in the United States" you will see a wide variety of countryside as well as famous old towns which dealt with Indian battles, forests as well as Riverside forts. Custer Battlefield is on the way at the little Bighorn River. The way back can be through the Rockies and up from the south working even loop north into the Canadian Rockies and back by way of Canada and New York. A southern route is also possible through the southern Rockies.

Anyone who is interested in going on this extended trip please advise

Great River Road.... sounds like a very nice trip! I wanna go! I guess I can wish all I want. I was thinking of going to the RA and doing some sight seeing before the MOA. I guess I can wish all I want. I am a long ways from retirement! Have a safe trip.
