fuel gauge problem

Hi; I just bought this 2005 K1200s and My fuel reserve figure on the display is on all the time even after I get gas and the horizontal bars are not working on the display. Is this a sender issue of maybe a fuse? Thanks Woody99

They use a ribbon in the tank that is basically junk. Replaced mine already, have heard a number of other owners having to do the same. Roughly a $300 fix...........

I think that was everything. I had tried to get a used tank off a crashed bike but that ribbon was damaged as well, so I paid for the repair. Might have been $385 now that I think of it, I know it started with a 3.......

When you have the ribbon replaced, it'll need to be calibrated by the dealer to get it to work. That price includes the recalibration.
