Introduction to the K1600GT/L

Vince says....

Unladen weight, incl. 90% fuel kg/lb:

319/703 (without pannier)
348/767 (incl. pannier, topcase)'

That 1,232 figure must be GVWR... rider+passenger+gear.

so... 150-ish less than a Goldwing.

In several of the photos, you can see lock cylinders toward the bottom of the inner panels of the fairing -- near the rider's shins. Any guesses as to what they are for? gloveboxes in the lowers? In the frame side tubes? Assess to the flux capacitors?

It's gonna be a looooong 6 months before the bike starts showing up in the flesh ...

Lust

let's see, I have about $10k in my /6, $21k in my GS.
If I ever went back to a full faired tourer the new GTL would be it.
It is a great looking motorcycle.

I just promised my bride of 40 years a new suv, maybe she would rather a GTL?

Still don't like the trunk - hopefully it will grow on me.

Like the red paint.

Does it seem big

Can't wait to see one in person.
