For Saturday, consider the Knob Mountain BMW club rally in Morganton (24-26)
http://www.knobbies.org/Site/Rally.html

From Cruso:
- take the BRPW north,
- exit at NC 181 South,
- left onto US 64 Bypass/Sanford Drive (immediately after crossing the Green River). - - Catawba Meadows Park on your left

I'm guessing ~ 100 miles from Cruso.

$10 day pass. I think on-site registration is $40, but that will also get you a meal voucher.
