It's never too early to plan. :laugh

This is my VOTE! :thumb

The Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington!

The riding is so good in this area I won't even argue w/ you.
Coastal Rain forest to Alpine Passes to High Desert riding...
All in an hours radius.

Those who know, know.

If it comes to pass... Free Coffee and showers at my Haus!

It was announced at the 2010 Rally that the 2012 Rally would be held in the Midwest. All of the contracts are not in place yet so the exact location can't be announced yet.

this looks like an interesting site.

their web site doesn't say whether the 53,000 sq ft exhibit space is air conditioned... that's a nice-to-have. (of course, this is seattle... s may not be a must-have)

is the area with the red circle part of the facility? that would probably be enough camping space. not much shade, but wth!

Yes.
And if anyone wants I'd gladly take pictures for you.

Zoom out and look at the proximity of this site to AMAZING riding.

I tried to book a hotel room and the prices are already jacked up!! :mad Will the price gouging never end?

Only when/if you don't use them and tell them why...
Leave them w/ empty rooms and they'll be anxious to fill them as the event nears.

But we all need to be on board.

So you are say'n I get the price I want by not reserving the room.

Interesting

Interesting

Well? If it's the Holiday Inn and no one from the MOA Rally books a room wadda you think'll happen?

Judging from your image there must be a Star Trek Convention in town too.

'Fascinating Indeed.'

It's not final without the contract. Let's lobby to get the site changed LOL.

So? Which Hotel/Motel?

I was being glib and trying to parody the anticipated complaints that are sure to follow the selection of the rally site. You know: no shade, expensive hotels.......blah blah blah.

If the Rally were held in north central Washington it I would be there in a heart beat. Awesome area for riding.

The place I'm suggesting is less than an hour from those areas.
Speaking of which I'll go take some pictures this weekend to get a better idea.

In all seriousness this place may be great!
Mountain passes, high desert, coastal rain forest...
It's all here...
Including trees! :laugh

2014-2015-2016-2017 Looks Great any time.

Great job scouting the place out !

I like the large parking lot for advanced rider training and the infield.

Is there a dirt field, lot or area were we could have GS events or is this going to be a touring white bearded male rally site ? :whistle A place where we can take alot of GS pictures for photo of the week and ON covers. Say 52 and another 12 large format. Its very important since Tour-a-tec USA is nearby.

:hide

Next prepare a proposal and send it to Chuck Manley...........I don't think he looks at the forum he is too busy out riding. Chuck is part of the Rally Selection Team.

I think the club needs 2000 hotel rooms available within 20-25 miles of the site. Allow beer sales................and lots of food.

Everything else looks great. :thumb:thumb ;) I would love to attend a rally in that part of the country.
