Muriel Saved The Day!

A visit from Muriel Farrington to the Burke Mountain Hillclimb this past Saturday couldn't have been more timely.
A leaking o-ring on my HP2 had allowed gear oil to spray all over the right side of my rear tire during the 1st practice run of the day, essentially ending the day for me.

Muriel had popped in for a visit, as she has at past events, and offered to try to find a suitable o-ring at a local hardware store.

Her efforts were successful, and we scurried to get the drivetrain back together in time for two good practice runs late in the day!

Raceday (Sunday), was a bit of a washout, but I was able to participate, thanks to Muriel!

Muriel, I owe you 58 cents and a WHOLE LOT more!!!

THANK YOU!!!

Hi Gary,

:wave

Just so you know...

From http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/broke+the+mold

They broke the mould when they made somebody/something.

Something that you say which means someone or something is very special and that there is not another person or thing like them.

"They broke the mold when they made Elvis. There's never been a star to match him."

Heath was a great time and yes I did tag a Porta Pot with my 2006 GSA setting up the field events. I love how stories go, first it burst into flames, then there were 100 puppies in the porta pot and now I wrecked a 30th Anniversary GSA.
