New mexico motorcycle rental

Looking to rent a bike ( preferably a BMW or similar - not Harley type) in either Albuquerque or Santa Fe? Any info would be much appreciated. I would consider others touring bikes like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki. Thanks.

New Mexico rentals

I contacted the BMW dealers in Albuquerque and Santa Fe with an inquiry on rentals via email, never rec'd a response.

Looking at the EagleRider site, I don't see any NM locations listed.

Outpost Harley Davidson in Pueblo, Colorado

www.outposthd.com/miscpage_003.asp

does have a rental shop. Pueblo is about 100 miles north of the CO/NM state line, right on I-25. The riding in southern Colorado is spectacular, and of course, you can easily drop down to northern NM, too.

Pueblo is on Hwy 50, which offers spectacular rides along the Arkansas River, over Monarch Pass, to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, then south via Ouray, over the Million Dollar Highway, then down to northern NM.....Chama, Taos, Angelfire, etc.

Good luck,

Four years later.. I have a good answer

Just in case someone else looks for a rental in the Santa Fe, NM area:

http://www.adventurebikenm.com/

I just rented a 650GS (thumper) there for two days (in Ojo Caliente area) and had a great time! on and off road.. They also rent a F800GS and a few KLRs 650. Great riding in the area, and great rental place! Highly recommend it if anybody goes there without their bike..or wants to switch to a more off road capable bike while there.
