Recalls

I read about three recalls for the GT - the software and each of the switch assemblies - but BMW has not sent me any letters about them.
Is it possible that my GT (S/N ...97182) is recent enough to already have them?

Mine do say "...defect which relates to motor vehicle saafety exists in certain 2009-2010 BMW K1300 S and K 1300 GT motorcycles." Possible yours is late enough model that it has already received the updates? Regardless, you can check with your dealer. I have not had to have my letters with me, but they do need the last 7 digits of the VIN to know if you are in the affected group.

There is also another recall for the panniers, associated to the lock cylinder.

Best thing to do is have the dealer run your vin and compare as noted by Jim
