Want to see your work on the back page of Sunset Magazine? Each month we're featuring the reader photo that best illustrates a theme related to that month's issue.

For the May issue, we're looking for a photo of the highest, lowest, northernmost, southernmost, or westernmost part of the West that you've been to. To enter, post a picture that you've taken of such a view. (For our purposes, "the West" includes Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, and Alaska, plus British Columbia and Mexico.) In mid-March, we'll pick our favorite photo, which will win $100! (The deadline for submission is March 12.)

(The First SIgn of Spring contest is closed; the winner will appear on the back page of the March issue of the magazine, which should be on the newsstands by mid-February.)

Remember, you need to have shot the photograph and own the rights to it; please tag your entry with the month's theme (for May, just use the words "Western extreme"!) and where it was shot. We will be crediting any images that we run, so be sure to include your name and what town or city you live in. Your original image should have a minimum file size of 5 by 7 inches, 300 dpi (what you post can be smaller, but if we choose your image, we'll eventually need the full-size version). Also, feel free to tell us all about your photo and the view!

This is on going so the subjects will change.
