Just purchased an '09 R 1200 R. Had to go clear across the state to Grand Rapids to get it, but the bike is terrific and I couldn't be happier. First BMW, and in fact the first bike I've had in about 18 years. Hello to the forum members and I'll try not to post anything overly dumb. Larry
 
Add another hello, this time from a bit SW of Ann Arbor. Good to have you here. You might want to check out www.bmwtcd.org. This is the BMW Touring Club of Detroit, a club that, at the very least, gets together for breakfast every Sunday. Fun bunch.
