Having been raised only 90 miles from Salina, KS I never heard of the The Cozy Inn Hamburger Stand downtown Salina until an old friend mentioned it in an email recently. Since I was riding to Leavenworth, KS from Las Vegas anyway figured what the hell, try it. What a surprise. The place has been in business since 1922 and is still in the original spot downtown on 7th st. Bite size burgers made of 90%lean beef cost .85 each, buy'em by the bag. Better than White Castles' for sure. Only 6 stools inside the place but a couple of picnic tables are outside, so if you plan to go, get there before the crowd. Steve, the new owner, is friendly and chatable while tending the grill in the front window. The burgers come with chopped onions, all done by hand, and you put your own catsup/mustard on em. They sell canned sodas and chips, thats it. Downed 8 of the little goodies and was on my way...w/o any side effects. So, if you're looking for a place to ride try The Cozy Inn in Salina.:thumb
