  • Beginning April 1st, and running through April 30th, there is a new 2024 BMW MOA Election discussion area within The Club section of the forum. Within this forum area is also a sticky post that provides the ground rules for participating in the Election forum area. Also, the candidates statements are provided. Please read before joining the conversation, because the rules are very specific to maintain civility.

All,
Your Cyber Cafe Committee (Brian Curry, Brian Burdette, and I) would like you all to know that we should have a good network in place for your surfing enjoyment. The rally center will be hot with WiFi, as will be the vendor and Country Store/Cyber Cafe buildings. The Cyber Cafe will be open from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Thursday and Friday. Saturday it will shut down early in advance of the closing ceremonies. There will be one location inside the building between the two vendor buildings with some tables and chairs where you can use your own equipment to get on line using the general WiFi access points. Likely, much of the camping area will also have connectivity. Outside access will be hot through Sunday for those last minute emails and weather checks.

Any access point with "BMW" in the name is fair game. We will be running an open network, so no access password/passphrase will be required. However, please remember we will have significant demand at this event. We are expecting between 9,000 and 10,000 attendees, many traveling with their own WiFi devices. IN PARTICULAR - DO NOT TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HIT YOUR BITSTREAM OR OTHER HIGH BANDWIDTH CONNECTIONS. Downloading full videos for your trip home will be considered bad form, and we will be monitoring for excessive use. :nono

Other than that, rock on! :dance

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to charge the iphone.
