Repair Sytem case Latch?

2wheeler

High Planes Drifter
Hi and Help
My travelling companion (and speed regulator)thought that my rear system case needed a good shove down on the handle to close and lock it. The key was in the lock and the extra effort cracked the orange lock bar. I tried to bend it back to close and lock the bag but the piece broke off. Has any body repaired one of these as the case is now unlockable ?
My dealer said we would need to buy a new case.
Thanks

Thanks David
I wonder if the same part is used on the rear case as on the side. I will try to locate that part on some site.Again thanks and happy trails
Kevin

Kevin,

In the thread I sent you, look at the title of the diagram in post #24.
