Hi There fellows riders! After 30 years of riding BMW m/c I finally decided to join up. BMWMOA that is! The magazine is fabulous and I am doing my level best to get the economy rolling by buying all sorts of good stuff from the advertisers. What a wonderful way to find gear that is designed with riders in mind.

The layout and stories are first rate. Reading about restorations and rebuilds and custom work is just wonderful. Seeing what a great job folks are doing with the older models ( many of which I rode) is a tribute to the quality of the bikes and the talent and dreams of the riders / wrenchers.

I am planning on a solo trip to Quebec City and the Maritime Provinces of Canada. Departure date from Edmonton is June 24. Please let me know of any rides or stops of interest along the way.

Thanks for reading & riding,....

Gord

Welcome fellow Oldie!

Glad to have you here. The ON is fantastic and I'm thinking you may have a article or two that you could submit and we could enjoy reading.

What are you currently riding?

Your upcoming trip would make a good trip report for the forum. Take lots of pictures as we look forward to seeing them.

glad to be here

My current ride is a 2001 R1100S. It is Phoenix Grey Metallic and is the touring version. It is equipped with system hardcases and Ohlins. Upcoming is a new Parabellum Tour windshield, a Xenon lowbeam and a PIAA Extreme White Plus highbeam. On its way is a sheepskin covered buttpad with visoelastic and memory foam.

There is some material that I could submit for the magazine and will put pen to paper on my return from the Eastern Canadian Tour.

Keep on reading & riding

Gord

nice S!

the sheepskin does a surprisingly good job on those long rides, had a couple of 1K+ days on my S. have since moved on to an airhead, but there are certainly some things i miss about that bike.
