Presentation at California BMW Triumph Motorcycles 2490 Old Middlefield Way Mountain View, California 94043 Telephone 650.966.1183 Friday May 8th 7:30 to 9:30 PM Please email or call since there is limited space.
Simon and Lisa Thomas are two English adventure motorcyclist and long distant overlanders. The husband and wife team ( www.2ridetheworld.com) have been professionally documenting their incredible journey to date, which after 107,000 plus miles, six years of continuous travel riding their trusty GS bikes ( F650 GS, R1100 GS ) through 58 countries, and with more than their fair share of high drama finds them 'half way' through their incredible journey, and on the US west coast. At this point they just surpassed the current world record " The longest continuous motorcycle journey by a team". They are attempting to capture another 3 World Records on their trip that is half over.
Please come out and support our fellow MOA members and forum posters if time allows. Their photography has been displayed in photography schools, is featured in the current Tour-a-tec catalog, Lisa is on the cover for WhiteHorse Press catalog and both are featured on the International BMW Enduro site, Xplore GS, and their journey is featured in RoadRUNNER magazine. Both have taken everything they own from business ventures, retirement, savings, personal items and sold it to finance this incredible world tour. I know these individuals, and have had the opportunity to ride with them. I can honestly say they are genuine, sincere, and highly motivated towards their success and I would love for all of us to share their journey and hardships. Their presentation paints a true profile of the world citizen and they will share some high drama situations that unearthed the greatness of a lone individual to communities that assisted one another towards a common goal. They will share their repair experiences in a lack of a dealership and mechanic environment in North Africa and even repairing wiring in the rain forest of Brazil while trying to recover from an injury. Or how one had to help the other in a very bad situation, showing how important team work is and relationships are tested. So please come and enjoy the evening. Even for those that like travel to photography their story would be inspiring to even the non-rider.
Come and share in an evening with, Simon and Lisa Thomas. They are looking forward to having one of our last presentations in the USA with you and sharing their journey through 58 countries, from the former Soviet block through Africa's Sahara desert and their ordeal in Brazil's Amazon jungle. They wiill soon be departing these shores for the Asian leg of our journey.... Call or email CalMoto to reserve your seats.
