Back from Camp Blanding (Winter Rally)

We just got back in from the BMWNEF Winter Rally at Camp Blanding, Fl. This was a great one. Sold out as usual. It was a rainy day on Saturday but they don't call it the "Sunshine State" for no reason. We rode over the Cresent Beach and then on to Daytona where whe visitied the Daytona BMW dealer. It was a great ride down Highway 16 to Highway 13 and along the beautiful St. Johns River for miles. Then on over to AIA and into Daytona. It was about 80 degrees with sunshine. I got a little sunburn but it was worth it. We did not hit any rain until about 15 miles out of Camp Blanding upon return. Then it stopped and we were dry form then until we returned home today. Great time at the Winter Rally.

Ist Time at the Winter Rally, and first time camping in 40yrs.

Had a lot of fun, met a number of new peoples, found new riding mates, learned afew things, and can't wait till next year.

BMWNEF Did a GREAT JOB

My first Rally and had a great time meeting fellow campers and MC enthusiasts.
Beer, beans, & Brats on Fri night and steak, baked potato, green beans, and desert on Sat night. Bought a tent from Catoma after seeing how dry it was in the rain and how easy to put up (less than 5 minutes). I will be back next year.
