Road Conditions / Construction

For the many of us planning on gravitating towards Johnson City, TN this summer for the National Rally, here is a resource you may wish to 'add to your tank bag.'

The US Federal Highway Administration has a nationwide system of information available to motorists concerning current road conditions and any construction delays / issues that may lay ahead on your path of travel.

Siimply dial 511 for up-to-date information.

All states have received federal funding for this effort, and most states have implemented the system.

I note that Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina, for example, have it up and running, and some of you may find this resource helpful as you travel in and around these states for the National Rally in July.

More information can be accessed at: www.fhwa.dot.gov/trafficinfo/511.htm.

Good Luck, and Ride Safe this Summer!
