I'm listening to the Ultimate Who Collection Disc 2, after seeing Roger Daltery in concert the other night. He is on his first solo tour in 25 years.
Went to the show on my 47th B-day and I sure am glad I did. Rock legends are few and far between, especially alive.

Here's one ...

Not bad for a bunch of geezers in their 60s. Wish I could have been there. I barely missed them in '74 and I missed them again 35 years later. :cry

I did, however, get the 2 CD set of the show from here. So that's what I'm listening to. :thumb

Man, I grew up listening to Mott and would love to see them get together and tour the US.

Half the live shows I caught in 08 were "classic" geezers who's heydays were 60s-early 80s and they were all great shows: The Police, Van Der Graaf Generator, Ray Davies (who is still amazing after all these years), Elvis Costello, Strawbs, and David Byrne.

Jonathan, where did you find your new avatar?
Reminds me of one of the Marchellos from Good Rats.

Or was it one of the Marchello brothers I couldn't make up my mind.
It really was their beards, too.
They were all pretty furry back then.
