Almost cut my hair
Happened just the other day
It's gettin' kind of long
I could've said it was in my way

But I didn't and I wonder why
I feel like letting my freak flag fly
And I feel like I owe it, yeah ... to someone, yeah

Well, must be because I had the flu this Christmas
Oh, yeah and I'm not feeling up to par
Oh, I tell you baby this increases my paranoia
Yeah, like looking in my mirror and seeing a police car

Well, well, I'm not, I'm not giving in an inch to fear
Well, you know I've promised myself this year
Well, I feel oh, like I owe it, I owe, I owe it to someone
Oh ... like I owe it to someone

[Instrumental (Electric Guitar)]

Oh, yes when I get myself together
Yeah, you can find me in that sunny southern weather, yeah

I'm goin' to find a space inside a laugh, yes
Separate the wheat from some chaff
Oh, and I feel ...
Like I owe it, yeah ... to someone

Janis ... Big Brother and the Holding Company

A little piece of my heart.

".......... You know you got it, if it makes you feel good............."

Man - what a waste of a fine Blues singer. Damned heroin.

Funny to mention Jim Morrison/Doors redclfco.
Came over to post the X record which Ray Manzarek produced.
Soul Kitchen is covered on here.

On the way home I grooved to Arcade Fire: Neighborhood (Tunnels). It really helped minimize the rain. :)

cassette metal tapes last forever

I drove the big GMC gas guzzler truck today, which has XM Radio. I got to listen to deep tracks; thus the Morrison/The Doors set at lunch.

Grateful Dead channel made the long ride home just right. Continious Dead 24/7; I thought I died and went to heaven when I found out about that awhile ago.

As of late though, as will be tomorrow in the subaru and her tape deck, I will be playing a composition I booted off Dejavu, 4 way street records, and an obscure CSN album of which I forgt the name. Hamony is soo sweet!

Yee haaa!
Let's rodeo!

Was listening to some Stompin' Tom, "Bud the Spud, The Ketchup Song" which led me into Homegrown Tomatoes which led me to this.

Good stuff.

Best Album Guy put out was his first, Ol' Number 1, yeah!

Early this morning, I was listening to Luthor Vandross while cleaning the bike. After a couple of cups of coffee and a bagel, I'm picking up the pace with the Brooklyn Funk Essentials...

Who

I'm listening to the Ultimate Who Collection Disc 2, after seeing Roger Daltery in concert the other night. He is on his first solo tour in 25 years.
Went to the show on my 47th B-day and I sure am glad I did. Rock legends are few and far between, especially alive.

Absolutely the ABB!

Best Live Album of All Time!
The Allman Brothers Live at Filmore East................Don

I am listening to an eclectic mix of Steely Dan, George Jones and the Beatles, with a little Etta James thrown into the mix. All you've gotta do is hit the random button. Never could focus on a single genre!

Had the Incredible String Band's "Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" CD on my CLC this morning. Of course, this is the album that almost caused Led Zeppeling to become an all accoustic band when they first formed. From '68.

I am listening to the gentle sounds of raindrops as they fall....real raindrops. Not recorded.
