Why does this bother me? Am I being picky? You tell me.

In this issue there is an article titled Life Imitating Art in which there are two photos of a woman, photographed from the back, with something imprinted on her back. Fine. But shouldn't there be some reference or attribution to Man Ray and Kiki of Montparnasse from the 20's in Paris? Is it just co-incidence?

You're being picky. Those references are somewhere between esoteric and assumed. MHO. :D
