Washington State I-90 Diesel spill

My wife & I rode home (Seattle are) from C d'A, Idaho yesterday. Presumably, a vehicle had a diesel fuel leak in the westbound right lane. It wasn't evaporating and it pretty well covered the lane. I first noticed it around Silica Road, Exit 143 and they finally pulled off at Exit 106 to Ellensburg. I read this morning it can take some time for diesel to break down.
