Want to post a few photos and commentary of our recent trip. I want to select from our blog (I suspect that some of the blog may not be of much interest to many so I want to provide a more focused account for this forum)

this is just a test to see the best way to move photos from Picasa (linked to our blog). I find Photobucket quite easy but since Blogger automaticly shifted the included pics I thought I'd give it a try. If this consumes too much space here then I will have to go to plan B. Any advice is welcomhttp://lh6.ggpht.com/BobandMaryTour/SIUrRgc2gDI/AAAAAAAAAs0/wE8KGWRdIiE/s144/June%2020%20Portland%20to%20Port%20Alberni%20download%20068.jpge. -Bob

Bob,

I copied the image address and pasted it in the picture icon window.

You have sandwiched between "welcom" and "e."

However I don't know what it's so tiny. When I paste that address into a browser window, it shows a large picture like the one visible on your site.

Tom,

If you look at the link you will see /s144/ . This is a reference to the image size. In this example the link will reflect a 144 (Thumbnail) pixel count. If you edit your post and change the number to 288,400 or 800 the size will change accordingly. When you link from Picasa, a dropdown gives you these four options.

Here are a couple examples:

Thanks very much for the assistance! Didn't notice the "sandwich" issue and changing the px is great info. Thanks again. -Bob

Had some time so I tried another test ....... (dang.... couldn't get that px right. ) ...Maybe I'll just shift things over to photobucket and make it simple to insert pics. Don't know why Picasa is so cumbersome. -Bob

Good deal!

I found Picasa to be like a pair of boots; clumsy, uncomfortable and blistering at first, but coupled with time a content tool.
