Finally went for a day trip yetersday the 29th of June.

Bewteen weather, work, and family, it's been a very uneventful ride season thus far. Hopefully, it'll break open soon.

In any case, the Starved Rock State Park is only about 90 minutes from Chicago and offers some nice roads not that far from home...good day destination. Weather kind of cooperated and I was able to get about 250 miles in (better than nothing:) ).

I've been on this helmet kick lately and decided to mentally tally how many riders I saw with helemts during my ride. Here are the totals:

- total riders (including passengers) seen.....128
- total wearing helmets....32
- total wearing flip flops....1
- total wearing no shirt....1
- # of BMW's - 3
