at least one Pro rider is a young lady

Competing in the AMA Pro Grand National Championship Expert Twins class
is 24 year old Nichole Cheza from Clio, Mich

Cheza joined the ranks of pro racers in 2004

Currently ranked in 24th,
she is determined to someday be the first female Grand National champion
She is on a 450 Honda and a 750 Harley

fifth overall in the 2011 final points standings

With more than 400 main events
78 victories,
the seven-time AMA Pro Grand National champion
is retiring from racing
but still plans on teaching dirt track school


Carr began his racing career as an amateur racer in 1983
He turned professional in 1985,
finishing seventh in the Grand National Championship
earning him the A.M.A. Rookie of the Year Award
Carr won his first Grand National in 1986

rookie of the year in the AMA Superbike road racing series
Carr left the dirt tracks to go road racing for two years (1996 and 1997)

On September 5, 2006,
Carr broke the motorcycle land speed world record
at the Bonneville Salt Flats (Utah),
with a two-pass 350.8 mph average

He was the first motorcyclist to break the 350 mph barrier
(of course the record has since been broken)

The AMA sanctioned
All Star National Flat Track Series
was formed in 2010 to take the place of the AMA Hot Shoe Series when it was discontinued

goal is to provide AMA Pro & Expert racers venues
to race at during the off weekends


Saturday June 2, 2012 Calumet County Speedway- Chilton, WI; Short Track
This race will run in conjunction with the Dairyland Classic which is Friday June 1, 2012
The Dairyland Classic is not part of the All Star National Flat Track Series


Wisconsin will again be a hotbed of racing for the first week of June, 2012

(Plymouth and Elkhart Lake, twenty minute ride to Chilton)
Road America - Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
June 1 - 3, 2012 SUBWAY SuperBike Doubleheader - AMA Pro Road Racing

Digital transponders record each Pro/Expert rider's practice laps
and the fastest 48 riders will be seeded into 4 heat races
then semis heat races will determine the twelve riders for the 20-lap Pro/Expert Main event

Jim Sumner Memorial Dash For Cash
The fastest qualifier (from transponder qualifying)
on each different brand of motorcycle
will be invited to compete in the Jim Sumner Memorial Dash For Cash

The riders will be lined up in an inverted, staggered start,
with the slowest rider first . . . fastest rider in the last position

Jim Sumner was born on April 23, 1970,
the youngest of four children born to a life-long AMA Pro Novice

For the 1991 season, he was awarded AMA National Number 45,
a number he proudly wore until his death
while preparing for the AMA National Championship event
on the mile oval at Springfield, Illinois on May 26, 2002.

The Jim Sumner Memorial Dash For Cash and the Dairyland Classic
are promoted by the Sumner family in Jim's memory
