A Capitol Idea

U.S. Capitol.

Here's a shot of the U.S. Capitol. The tent belongs to the National Symphony Orchestra. They have free performances on the Capitol lawn a few times each year. This shot is from Labor day last year. I supervise their tent installation.

I imagine a few of us have this one! :usa

The PA dome is very unusual, I looked it up and found that "The Capitol's five-story exterior is faced with handsome Vermont granite and the elegant dome is composed of green glazed terra cotta tile". The inside is just amazing.

Massachusetts State House

It's weird when there are no pigeons on the Boston Common. I found the reason....one of the few hawks in the commonwealth!

My office!

Gail!
You can almost see my office from those pictures in Augusta, well, ALMOST. I'm acutally on the front side, south wing. You need to come back and reshoot. The scaffolding is all gone now that all the repointing has been done. The whole complex has undergone a nearly 100% restoration since 1999. By '04 both buildings were back up to 100% capacity and each "wing" of the State House exterior was cleaned and repointed. The "skylight" behind your bike looks down in the $4M "connector" that houses 4 Klir Beck wildlife dioramas that used to reside in the State House before reconstruction. I'll bring my camera back after lunch and see if I can get a shot or two to post.

Happy Father's Day From the New York State Capitol :usa
