Lost Coast camping info needed

Greetings fellow BMWMOA members,
I start 4 weeks off from work next week. I will just be meandering around the West with no real schedule, however, I am pretty sure I will hit the Lost Coast in Cali. Any suggestions on inexpensive or secret tent camping in that area? I'm thinking about hanging there for three or four days.

Cheers all!

I camped at the AW Way county campground a number of years ago. It's along Matolle Rd. south of Petrolia. Had the place nearly to myself. The stars were incredible, as there are no lights anywhere around. There's a small market in Petrolia, but you might do better to stock up in Eureka. Visit the Samoa Cookhouse for breakfast!
