    Crikey, mates, birds on birds!

Used to live in Oz. Aussies have a thing for 'Big Things' that are scattered along the roads as tourist attractions throughout the countryside. There's even a book listing all of them (Big Pineapple, Big Captain Cook, Big Tasmanian Devil, Big Prawn, etc.). My daughter and I set out to photograph all of them -- we only found about 10 out of thirty or so (it's a bloody big country, mate!), including this one in Tasmania.

Here are a few shots of mine:

Mt. Airy, North Carolina, the inspiration for Mayberry, and a police car identical to the one used in the TV series.

My hometown frozen custard stand -- yum!

Seemingly nonsensical highway signs for the same stretch of road.

I'd tell you , but then I'd have to kill you.

That's a LONG way between gas stations! On the road to Radisson, Quebec, in the James Bay area.

Another one from a couple of years back (sad, but some notoriety anyway).
At the base of Mount Ascutney, outside of West Windsor, VT in Brownsville Cemetary:

    Last one from me today.
From a trip about 4 years ago to Cavendish, VT.
An explosion at a railroad yard launches a 13 pound rod through the head of Phineas Gage, who lived a long, healthy life afterwards, just had some serious mood swings.

Stock photo, but I was really there (twice!!), just can't find my photos.

    Makes for some interesting reading:
