one day ride

My name is Steve Page. I live in King N.C. This is my 2000 K1200RS that I got from a good friend this past February. This was taken this past Saturday on the Blue Ridge Parkway between N.C. 21 and N.C.18. This is my first BMW and I love it.

We RIDE at Dawn.

Paul and I left our adobe in SW Texas this morning at dawn. Expecting 100 degree heat later, we had a very cool start. At Alpine we saw evidence of wildfires west of Alpine. Such a scary time. We'll be on the road for four months. More later.

Somewhere in Nelson County south of Charlottesville, Virginia. The fog is fading over a field that appeared to a new vineyard.

Taken this morning between 7:30-8:00.

Friday morning. Started the weekend a little early and went for a ride and stopped for a rest along a shady lane in Hosensack at the Schwenkfelder Meeting House.

Memorial Day - 20-30 mph winds with gusts to 55 had us change course so we're not where the tornadoes are in Nebraska tonight!

Over that next ridge is exactly where, many years ago, i turned my R11RS around in the middle of the curve. Steep downhill gravel is NOT my thing!

Now on my F650 - piece of cake!

I found the upper end of this road to be very challenging, in a shake your head curse in your helmet way. The woman I was riding with was on an F650, and she passed me and showed me how it was done...you could tell I was a GS poser. :whistle
