Oops. You're one up on me, marchyman. I did post a dup (2387). :blush Sorry. 41077 posted one after me before I realized mine was a dup, so I'm going to leave it.

I just spent some time re-organizing my smugmug account, creating a freeassociation gallery. Otherwise I know I'd do it again.

Javier pics.

Our paths crossed on a recent trip and we shared pics. I don't claim this one as mine. It's a cheat, but it's such a great pic I thought I'd share it with you. I urge you to click on the More Javier pics and take a look at some of the excellent shots there.

Cheers.

Ha! I was looking for a Rat or an Ox... Then I got caught up in the "pattern".

~ Jim

OX -1913-1925-1937-1949-1961-1973-1985-1997-
The rock of Gibraltar. An indomitable fortress. The ox is a true bulldozer. You are an essentially temperate person who cares greatly for rigor, labor, strength of character and?.. results! You can stick at a task longer and go at it harder than anybody. You spare no elbow grease. You hate to be beaten, so you simply never ever give up. Some call you slow, others complain that you are clumsy. In fact, you move at your own sweet pace and refuse to be pushed or prodded by a lot of hot-headed fly-by-nights. You believe in simplicity and achievement. Levity in business exasperates you. You are capable of profound, enduring love, yet romance leaves you cold. You prefer action to beds of roses and phials of exotic perfumes. You take life very seriously but life doesn't always return the favor. You don't normally talk much but you have a remarkable talent for story-telling. Ox's should team up with Rat's, Rooster's or Snakes. They are all well equipped to handle your peculiar brand of seduction. The first two eras of your life will be characterized by hard work. During the second adult phase a misunderstanding between you and a neighbor or colleague may cause a deep, long-lasting rift. Don't lose heart, your old age will be both long and healthy with peace of mind taking over after fifty. Advice? Lighten up, and stop judging others by your own high standards. You'll only be disappointed.

* Positive : The Ox can be patient, contemplative, skillful, dexterous, eloquent, confident, familiar, authoritative, industrious and sure of foot.
* Negative : The Ox can also be prejudiced, chauvinistic, proud, tyrannical, petty, critical, eccentric, bigoted, conservative, grumpy and on occasion violent. :dunno

[mod hat on]

RE #2527 of the tree with the face, looks like a photoshop to me and I wonder
whether you found it on the net or took it yourself from the smiley included? While not in the rules per se, the idea is show up those images you took yourself, so if you did, then quite a good job otherwise try to adhere to the spirit of the thread part of which is use your own images.
Thanks

I see you chose the OX... Unless you are alluding to my being "an Ox"...
No Rat?

Hmmm... I was going for subtlety... :laugh

MOA trivia regarding post 2543... the woman on the left was the Rally Chair of the very first MOA rally in Morgan Hill (1973). If only her name was spelled correctly in the '08 Anonymous book (Sheila Hyman, not Hynman). The woman on the right is my wife :love

Post 2539 - rock on the river-was taken outside Payson, AZ while out 4-wheeling. It's a grinding stone where Indian women sat grinding corn by hand. You can vaguely see the indents in the rock.

WOW!, what story is behind that? I know some trees grow rapidly and will surround anything(Crepe Myrtles(sp?) come to mind) but that is impressive...entombed so to speak!

Steve,
To be honest, I can't remember where or when I took that photo. I think it was in Hawaii (Big Island) with my first digital camera. I know I took another, similar photo of an old Jeep with a tree growing through the vacant engine compartment.
