Beautiful church! Looks Scandanavian but I see from your plates this isn't in Yankee Beemer country. My guess is it's somewhere between Petaluma and the coast??? Where is it?????

OK, Sherman, if we're going to set the Way-Back machine. . . .

One of my first BMW group rides, circa 1986.

Nice Sabre, looks like the V45. I had one too, also an 85 but with the blue stripe. I had the sport fairing and the bags on it as well. I bough it new and rode it for 11 years, a total of 80,000 Kms. Great bike, but hard on fuel and not a big enough tank. I sold it when I bought my R1100RS.

My 1992 R100gs, on the Jeep trail up to Marblehead Lighthouse.

Drummond Island, off the easternmost point of Michigan's UP. Summer 2006.

Camera: Widelux.

I'm like Bubba; it's more "bitback" than "wayback"...

My first (and last) charity "rally". It was a ride for a place called "Mom's House" (for pregnant girls trying to go to college) in Toledo. September '05; 3 months after I started riding. I'm doing my rather tough "Squint because I'm looking into the sun".

I met my first other BMW rider there, though (Doug, who posted in this thread earlier, actually).

From the wayback machine...
1978, Ocean City, MD. My first "long" trip. I think I did 180 miles that day. I think I'd owned the bike for about a week. Still going strong - the bike at least. :laugh

This one is from 1975. Just way back!
