Pet Pictures

Here is "Simon". New name, new dog to us. Rescued on Christmas day from the woods. Should he stay or should he go?
Chris
He sure is cute. I'd be inclined to keep him, but I'd be sure to have him scanned for chips, just in case he is lost.

Chris:

And check his ears for tattoos. Also, the local SPCA can give you phone numbers for your local lost pet services.

He looks like he's in pretty good shape (in addition to looking pretty content with his new keepers) but hopefully somebody's looking for him.

Christmas Dog Rescued

Thanks Kevin and Rinty. Simon has an appt upcoming with MedVet and we have contacted the local County animal shelters. The area in which he was found is remote and neighbors think he may have been dropped off. Still looking though, and growing fonder of Simon.

Saw this post and had to add our Standard Poodle, Jake.

I noticed on the afternoon news yesterday that a woman had gone to a shelter that takes pets. She went both to stay and to help out. The interviewer asked whether she had a pet. She stated "No. I have a Scottish Terrier, so he has a person."

Ours have two people ;)

Thank you

Chewman, beautiful Dog, what breed?

We rescued a wounded black lab mix that was wandering in the woods on Christmas day.

Don't have a rightsized pic yet but the dog has come a long way in four days. We are moving swiftly from a foster home to the real deal at the insistance of our teenager who found "Simon". Our aging incumbant terrier mix Charlie loves his new little brother though they are exact opposites.

Regards,
Chris

Nikki is a mix. Father was a Black Lab, mother was a Golden Retriver.
There MUST be some Chow in her, she has black gums and tongue and the neck and jawl {way strong} of a chow.
She is way smart, loyal, and VERY protective.
Seeing your new friend, you have no choice, Simon says stay!

Rosy the Cattle Dog

I got Rosy when she was 8 weeks old in December 2003. Since then she has hiked more than 1000 miles all over the west. Here she is above South Lake, up West Line Street in Bishop, California. Pic below is of Rose with Watson (behind), completely deaf, adopted from an animal rescue in Oregon this past September. They are in Red Rock State Park, Mojave, California<BR>

I finally got started on my single-most procrastinated project ever: scanning my photos and slides. Found some gems of my ex-kitties.

Here's Spike:
