OK, one more try. I'm thinking we're more stale and unimaginative, but we'll see. I'll give you a topic:
* "The radical reconstruction of the South after the Civil War was neither radical nor a reconstruction. Discuss."
Or if that doesn't work for you:
* "The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy nor Roman nor an empire. Discuss."
Or just:
* "Duran Duran is neither a Duran nor a Duran. Discuss."
My son is 12 and he asked me to put the stockings out for St Nick. We were putting them on the mantle, and I asked him "Do you believe in St Nick?" He smiled at me and said "No". I put the last one up and asked him why he wanted me to put the stockings up then. A odd look passed over his face, and then he just smiled. I said "Sometimes, just doing the "Christmas" type things puts you in a Christmas mood, and that's a good thing".

if you doubt that there are people on this board that can be both fresh and imaginative, you should check out the photo asignments thread.....

Lady in store "Is this fish really fresh?"
Butcher "No, actually it is quite well behaved!"
I don't doubt that, at all. After all, there is a nice photo of an icy fence in the thread for this week.

"I see" said the blind man to his deaf wife.
Not only did Duran Duran rehearse in a house behind where I lived in Birmingham, but I also stole Nick Rhodes girlfriend off him, the great floppy haired nancy boy.
Boy did she make a big mistake (financially speaking).
i'd like to hear more detail about this one
WHAT is that?????? European model only from the 70's???? Very nice look
Mossely Rd, B'ham. UB 40 living in a house at the bottom of the road, Duran Duran being founded at the house at the bottom of our garden and Dexy's Midnight Runners, just around the corner. Judas Priest down at the local pub, Ozzie Osbourne not far away and the guy from Def Leopard that became the fencing champ at the local sports centre. There are more, but these are the folk I met up with, oh yes and George Michael's sister who invited me to his birthday party. I didn't go!
What's that guy behind her looking at?
ELO, Noddy Holder from Slade, Wizzard and others were out and about locally too, although I only met Jimmy Lee from Slade's daughter, so that's my brush with fame until much later. I met Doctor Who-Tom Baker in a voice over studio...he's a foul mouthed old bugger. England's a small place, you stand more chance of bumping into these folk.I'm betting Geezer Butler was your electrician, hahahha
