"winter" is probably not a fair description of this Californian's
riding season. After all, it barely rains here...but I digress. This
is really about my first year of BMW ownership.
In September, I wandered down the coast to Monterey. Little
did I know, I would be back--at least part way. I tried all the
backroads. One of which took me through the strawberry
fields. I likened it to a scene from a Steinbeck book.
In Monterey, I visited the Aquarium taking some time to renew
my membership.
Of course, the SF Motorcycle show was a must-see event.
Followed by some Christmas fun.
Throughout the winter months, I've take several trips over to
the coast. The beach is a favorite destination when I'm out
for a cruise.
The BMWSportTouring group met for lunch at Phil's and dinner
at the Brookdale Lodge.
One of the guys wanted to know about Palo Alto so I took a ride
over and copped some pictures.
I worked on some new camera technique. I have a lot to learn.
I've met some pretty interesting people and enjoyed some
mighty fine riding.
So why taunt you all with a review of what passes for winter in
California? Why to fill you with inspiration for the summer riding
season!
And to think, it all started with a trip to Tahoe in June to
Celebrate the 80th.
Who'd have thunk?
